Im at a crossroads

this post is about me and sports. first of all let me say thank God the world cup is over and i dont have to endure hearing about or seeing highlights of that snore fest for another 4 years or something like that. what irritates the crap out of me is when people look at me and say "its the most popular sport in the world" to which my reply is usually "big deal" or "so". poverty is really huge all over the world too but you dont see me living in a cardboard box. i think its funny that all these countries who spend all day long watching soccer, are poor. one good reason could be that they would rather watch soccer than get a job and work but thats just my thought and with that i will thankfully put soccer to bed. now most of you that know me know that i USED to be a huge nascar fan. when the late Dale Earnhardt was alive i would have never missed a lap. i know say what you want about how its boring or whatever but i loved it and i enjoyed it. but since he died it is like nascar decided to just do whatever the hell they wanted to do since Earnhardt wasnt there anymore to stop it. so now we have Jewl singing at the Daytona 500?? tracks in Chicago and possibly new york?? now we have F1 racers and probably danica patrick coming to nascar next year. dear God Earnhardt is rolling over in his grave. they took races away from Darlington, Rockingham, and north wilkesboro in favor for California and Texas. Lord Help us all. so now i find myself turning more and more into College Football. not that i mind. i LOVE NCAA Football, notebly VA. Tech. and i find myself watching more baseball too. GOOOO OAKLAND! maybe golf has the answer i need, maybe the PGA tour can scratch the itch i have. a itch for a sport to honor traditions and respect the fan, where athlete and fan can co-exist and not have the Brass of the sport or (THE MAN) stick it to the fans. and that is about it for me and sports. i still hate basketball, i will NEVER watch soccer, i wish ultimate frisbee was on tv.
